			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<div class='snap_preview'><br /><p>On Friday, November 27, the  Penguins faced off against the New York Islanders and the Penguins faced off against the New York Rangers on Saturday, November 28.  Here is the recap of what happened during both games:</p>
<p><strong>Pens vs. Islanders</strong></p>
<p>In the first period, there were two goals scored and there were six penalties called.  The first goal was scored by New York&#8217;s Bailey with his 7th of the season.  The second goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Malkin with his 7th of the season.  This put the score at a 1-1 tie.  Out of the penalties called, three were on each team.  The first penalty was called on New York&#8217;s Jackman for a fighting major.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Engelland for a fighting major.  The third was on New York&#8217;s Sutton for hooking.  The fourth was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Malkin for diving.  The fifth was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Orpik for holding.  The sixth was on New York&#8217;s Hillen for holding.</p>
<p>In the second period, there was one goal scored and there were four penalties called.  The lone goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Cooke with his 5th of the season.  This put the score at Pittsburgh 2- Islanders 1.  Out of the four penalties called, three were on New York and one was on Pittsburgh.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Adams for unsportsmanlike conduct.  The second was on New York&#8217;s Hunter for hooking.  The third was on New York&#8217;s Hillen for interference.  The fourth was on New York&#8217;s Sutton for a hi stick double minor.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were two goals scored and there were six penalties called.  Both goals were scored by New York giving the Islanders a 3-2 victory.  The first goal was scored by Bergenheim with his 4th of the season.  The second was scored by Tavares with his 10th of the season.  Out of the six penalties called, two were on New York and four were on Pittsburgh.  The first ad second penalties were called on New York&#8217;s Thompson for a fighting major and for boarding.  The third, fourth, and fifth penalties were called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Staal for instigator, for a fighting major, and for a 10 minute misconduct.  The sixth penalty was called on the Penguins team for too many men on the ice.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for New York were 8 equaling 24 minutes and the total penalties for Pittsburgh were 8 equaling 30 minutes.  Goalie Summary: New York&#8217;s Roloson stopped 19 out of 21 shots while Pittsburgh&#8217;s Johnson stopped 34 out of 37 shots.  Stars of the game were: 3) Pittsburgh&#8217;s Johnson, 2) New York&#8217;s Roloson, and 1) New York&#8217;s Tavares.</p>
<p><strong>Pens vs. Rangers</strong></p>
<p>In the first period, there were four goals scored and there were two penalties called.  The first goal was scored by New York&#8217;s M. Staal with his 3rd of the season.  The second was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Malkin with his 8th of the season.  The third was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby with his 13th of the season.  The fourth was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Talbot with his 1st of the season.  This put the score at Pittsburgh 3- New York 1.  The penalties were even with one called on each team.  The first was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Eaton for holding of the stick.  The second was on New York&#8217;s Avery for goaltender interference.</p>
<p>In the second period, there were two goals scored and there were three penalties called.  The first goal was scored by New York&#8217;s Gilroy with his 4th of the season.  The second was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Eaton with his 3rd of the season.  This put the score at Pittsburgh 4- New York 2.  Out of the three penalties called, one was on Pittsburgh and two were on New York.  The first penalty was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Guerin for hooking.  The second was on New York&#8217;s Prospal for hi sticking.  The third was on New York&#8217;s Delzotto for slashing.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were five goals scored and there were ten penalties called.  The first goal was scored by New York&#8217;s Rozsival with his 1st of the season.  The second was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby with his 14th of the season.  The third was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Dupuis with his 7th of the season.  The fourth was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Pittsburgh with his 15th of the season.  The fifth was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Kennedy with his 6th of the season.  This put the final score at Pittsburgh 8- New York Rangers 3.  Out of the ten penalties called, three were on Pittsburgh and seven were on New York.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Cooke for interference.  The second and third were called on New York&#8217;s Brashear, both for roughing.  The fourth and fifth were called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Cooke for a fighting major and for a 10 minute misconduct.  The sixth and seventh were on New York&#8217;s Callahan for a fighting major and for a 10 minutes misconduct.  The eighth, ninth, and tenth were called on New York&#8217;s Avery for instigator, for a fighting major, and for a 10 minute misdonduct.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for Pittsburgh were 5 equaling 21 minutes and the total penalties for New York were 10 equaling 42 minutes.  Goalie Summary:  Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury stopped 22 out of 25 shots while New York&#8217;s Valiquette stopped 25 out of 33 shots.  Stars of the game (which were all from Pittsburgh) were: 3) Orpik, 2) Malkin, and 1) Crosby.</p>
<p>The next game is on Monday, November 30, at 7:00 pm against the New York Rangers.</p>
<p>Side Note:  Sidney Crosby had a hat trick during the New York Rangers game.  This is his 2nd hat trick of the season.</p>

<p>In the first period, there was one goal and there were zero penalties,  The lone goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby with his 12th of the season.  This gave the Pens a 1-0 lead.</p>
<p>In the second period, there were two goals scored and there were two penalties called.  Both goals were scored by Pittsburgh giving the Pens a 3-0 lead.  The first goal was scored by Guerin with his 6th of the season.  The second goal was scored by Gonchar with his 3rd of the season.  The first penalty was called on Montreal&#8217;s Pyatt for tripping.  The second penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s adams for hi sticking.</p>
<p>In the third period, there was one goals scored and there was one penalty called.  The only goal was scored by Montreal&#8217;s Pacioretty with his 3rd of the season.. The final score was Pittsburgh 3- Montreal 1.  The only penalty called was on Montreal&#8217;s Hamrlik.</p>
<p>STATS:  The total penalties for Montreal were 2 equaling 4 minutes and the total penalties for Pittsburgh was 1 equaling 2 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Montreal&#8217;s Price stopped 27 out of 3o while Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury stopped 18 out of 19 shots.  stars of the game (which were all from Pittsburgh) were: 3) Staal, 2) Guerin, and 1) Crosby.</p>
<p>The next game is Friday, November27, at 2:00 pm against the New York Islanders.</p>

<p>In the second period, there was one goal scored and there were four penalties called.  The lone goal was scored by Ottawa&#8217;s Michalek with his 9th of the season.  This put the score at Ottawa 2- Pittsburgh 1.  Out of the four penalties called, three were on Ottawa and one was on Pittsburgh.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Guerin for goaltender interference.  The second was on the Ottawa team for too many men on the ice.  The third was on Ottawa&#8217;s Phillips for hooking.  The fourth was on Ottawa&#8217;s Kelly for tripping.</p>

<p>STATS: The total penalties for Ottawa were 6 equaling 15 minutes and the total penalties for Pittsburgh were  4 equaling 11 minutes.  Goalie Summary:  Ottawa&#8217;s LeClaire stopped 25 out of 27 shots.  Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury (who played the entire 1st and 2nd periods and was pulled part way through the 3rd period) stopped 19 out of 24 shots while Johnson (who was put in part way through the 3rd period) stopped 6 out of 7 shots.  Stars of the game (which were all from Ottawa) were: 3) Kelly, 2) Fisher, and 1) Phillips.</p>
<p><strong>Pens vs. Thrashers</strong></p>
<p>Last night, November 21, the Penguins faced off against the Atlanta Thrashers.  Here is the recap:</p>
<p>In the first period, there was one goal scored and there were two penalties called.  The lone goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Skoula with his 2nd of the season.  This gave the Pens a 1-0 lead.  The penalties were even with one called on each team.  The first penalty was called on Atlanta&#8217;s Bogosiam for interference.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Gonchar for kneeing.</p>
<p>In the second period, there were two goals scored and there were four penalties called.  Both goals were scored by Pittsburgh giving the Pens a 3-0 lead.  The first goal was scored by Skouls with his 3rd of the season.  The second was scored by Malkin with his 6th of the season.  Out of the four penalties called, three were on Pittsburgh and one was on Atlanta.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Adams for interference.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Bourque for tripping.  The third was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Engelland for a fighting major.  The fourth was on Atlanta&#8217;s Kane for a fighting major.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were two goals scored and there were five penalties called.  Both goals were scored by Atlanta putting the final score at Pittsburgh 3- Atlanta 2.  The first goal was scored by Thorburn with his 2nd of the season.  The second was scored by Afinogenov with his 9th of the season.  Out of the five penalties called, four were on Atlanta and one was on Pittsburgh.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Cooke for a fighting major.  The second, third, fourth, and fifth penalties called were on Atlanta&#8217;s Kovalchuk for instigator, instigator, a fighting major, and a 10 minute misconduct.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for Atlanta were 6 equaling 26 minutes and the total penalties for apittsburgh were 5 equaling 16 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Atlanta&#8217;s Hedberg stopped 31 out of 34 shots while Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury stopped 31 out of 33 shots.  Stars of the game (which were all from Pittsburgh) were: 3) Crosby, 2) Skoula, and 1) Fleury.</p>
<p>The next game is Monday, November 23, at 7:30 pm against the Florida Panthers.</p>

<p>In the first period, there were three goals scored and there were four penalties called.The first goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s McKee with his 1st of the season.  The second goal was scored by Boston&#8217;s Wheeler with his 5th of the season.  The third goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Dupuis with his 4th of the season.  This put the score at Pittsburgh 2- Boston 1.  Out of the four penalties called, three were on Boston and one was on Pittsburgh.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Engelland for a fighting major.  The second was called on Boston&#8217;s Bitz for a fighting major.  The third was called on Boston&#8217;s Marchand for holding the stick.  The fourth was called on Boston&#8217;s Begin for slashing.</p>
<p>In the second period, there were three goals scored and there was one penalty called.  The first goal was scored by Boston&#8217;s Ryder with his 4th of the season.  The second was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby with his 10th of the season.  The third was scored by Boston&#8217;s Morris with his 2nd of the season.  This put the score at a 3-3 tie.  The lone penalty was called on Boston&#8217;s Wheeler for tripping.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were four goals scored and there were three penalties called.  The first goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Eaton with his 2nd of the season.  The second was scored by Boston&#8217;s Krejci with his 2nd of the season.  The third was scored by Boston&#8217;s Sturm with his 4th of the season.  The fourth was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Guerin with his 4th of the season.  This put the score at a 5-5 tie pushing the into overtime.  All three penalties were called on Pittsburgh.  The first penalty was called on Malking for tripping.  The second was on Cooke for a high sticking double minor.  The third was on Crosby for tripping.</p>
<p>In overtime, the winning goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Dupuis (with his 5th of the season) thus giving the Penguins a 6-5 win.</p>
<p>STATS: The total number of penalties called on Boston were 4 equaling 11 minutes and the total penalties for Pittsburgh were 4 equaling 13 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Boston&#8217;s Thomas stopped 27 out of 33 shots while Pittsburgh&#8217;s Johnson stopped 28 out of 33 shots.  Stars og the game (which were all from Pittsburgh) were: 3) Malkin, 2) Crosby, and 1) Dupuis.</p>
<p>The next game is Monday, November 16, at 7:30 pm against the Anaheim Ducks.</p>
<p>Notes:  *1) Evgeni Malkin returned to the lineup last night after being out with a shoulder strain.    *2) Chris Kunitz will be out for 2 weeks due to a lower body injury.    *3) Pascal Dupuis scored his 100th NHL career goal last night.     *4) Bill Guerin scored the goal that tied the game last night with only 0.4 seconds left in the game.</p>

<p>In the second period, there were two goals and there were two penalties called.  Both goals were scored by New Jersey which gave the Devils a 2-1 lead over Pittsburgh.  The first goal was scored by Bergfors with his 5th of the season.  The second was scored by Greene with his 3rd of the season.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Guerin for interference.  The second was on New Jersey&#8217;s Zajac for holding.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were two goals scored and there were two penalties called.  Both goals were scored by New Jersey giving them a 4-1 victory over Pittsburgh.  The first goal was scored by Parise with his 9th of the season.  The second was scored by Clarkson with his 6th of the season with an empty net goal.  The first penalty was called on New Jersey&#8217;s Bergfors for closing his hands on the puck.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby for holding.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for New Jersey were 3 equaling 6 minutes and the total penalties for Pittsburgh were 4 equaling 8 minutes.  Goalie Summary: New Jersey&#8217;s Brodeur stopped 25 out of 26 shots while Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury stopped 21 out of 24 shots (this does not include the empty net goal).  Stars of the game (which were all from New Jersey) were: 3) Parise, 2) Zajac, and 1) Bergfors.</p>

<p>In the first period, there were three goals scored and there was one penalty called.  The first goal was scored by Minnesota&#8217;s Brodziak with his 2nd of the year.  The second goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Dupuis with his 2nd of the season.  The third goal was scored by Minnesota&#8217;s Belanger with his 4th of the season.  This put the score at Minnesota 2-Pittsburgh 1.  The lone penalty was called on Minnesota&#8217;s Belanger for hooking.</p>
<p>In the second period, there were zero goals scored but there were six penalties called.  The first, second, and third penalties were called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby for slashing, slashing, and a fighting major.  The fourth and fifth penalties were on Minnesota&#8217;s Zidlicky for slashing and a fighting major.  The sixth was on Minnesota&#8217;s Schultz for slashing.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were zero goals scored but there were five penalties called.  The first penalty was called on the Minnesota team for too many men on the ice.  The second was called on Minnesota&#8217;s Sykora for hi sticking.  The third was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Letang for unsportsmanlike conduct.  The fourth was on Minnesota&#8217;s Scott for unsportsmanlike conduct.  The fifth was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Rupp for unsportsmanlike conduct.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for Minnesota were 7 equaling 17 minutes and the total penalties for Pittsburgh were 5 equaling 13 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Minnesota&#8217;s Backstrom stopped 34 out of 35 shots while Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury stopped 13 out of 15 shots.  Stars of the game were: 3) Pittsburgh&#8217;s Dupuis, 2) Minnesota&#8217;s Belanger, and 1) Minnesota&#8217;s Backstrom.</p>
<p><strong>Pens vs. Ducks</strong></p>
<p>In the first period, there was one goal scored and there were four penalties called.  The lone goal was scored by Anaheim&#8217;s Perry with his 9th of the season.  This put the score at 1-0.  All four penalties were called on Anaheim.  The first was on Carter for interference.  The second was on Mikkelson for a delay of game after the puck was sent over the glass.  The third was on Ryan for interference on the goaltender.  The fourth was on Koivu for interference.</p>
<p>In the second period there were three goals scored and there were four penalties called.  The first goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Rupp with his 4th of the season.  The second was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Letang with his 1st of the season.  The third was on Anaheim&#8217;s Perry with his 10th of the season. This tied the score at 2-2. The first penalty was called on Anaheim&#8217;s Brookbank for roughing.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Cooke for roughing.  The third was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s McKee for unsportsmanlike conduct.  The fourth was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Kunitz for hooking.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were three goals scored and there were two penalties called.  The first goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Goligoski with his 6th of the season.  The second was scored by Anaheim&#8217;s Koivu with his 2nd of the season.  The third was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Dupuis with his 3rd of the season.  This put the final score at Pittsburgh 4- Anaheim 3.  Both penalties were called on Anaheim.   The first was on Koivu for interference.  The second was on Perry for boarding.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for Pittsburgh were 3 equaling 6 minutes and the total penalties for Anaheim were 7 equaling 14 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury stopped 26 out of 29 shots while Anaheim&#8217;s Hiller stopped 23 out of 27 shots.  Stars of the game were: 3) Pittsburgh&#8217;s Staal, 2) Pittsburgh&#8217;s Letang, and 1) Anahiem&#8217;s Perry.</p>
<p><strong>Pens vs. Kings</strong></p>
<p>In the first period, there were two goals scored and there was one penalty called.  The first goal was scored by Los Angeles&#8217; Kopitar with his 12th of the season.  The second was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Staal with his 4th of the season.  This put the score at 1-1.  The lone penalty was called on Los Angeles&#8217; Greene for holding.</p>
<p>In the second period, there was one goal scored and there were five penalties called.  The lone goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Kunitz with his 3rd of the season.  The first penalty was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Cooke for hooking.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Eaton for a delay of game after the puck was sent over the glass.  The third was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Kunitz for roughing.  The fourth was on Los Angeles&#8217; Williams for hi sticking.  The fifth was on Los Angeles&#8217; Handzus for roughing.</p>

<p>STATS: The total penalties for Pittsburgh were 12 equaling 41 minutes and the total penalties for San Jose were 9 equaling 27 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury (who played the 1st period and part of the second period) stopped 19 out of 21 shots.  Pittsburgh&#8217;s   Johnson (who played in part of the 2nd period and all of the 3rd period) stopped 11 out of 13 shots.  San Jose&#8217;s Nabokov stopped all 27 out of 27 shots.Stars of the game (which were all from San Jose) were: 3) Pavelski, 2) Boyle, and 1) Nabokov.</p>

<p>In the first period, there was one goal scored and there were seven penalties called.  The lone goal was scored by Columbus&#8217;s Nash with his 7th of the season.  This gave the Jackets a 1-0 lead.  Out of the seven penalties called, four were on Pittsburgh and three were on Columbus.  The first penalty was called on Columbus&#8217;s Blunden for hi sticking.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Bourqu for hooking.  The third was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Cooke for hi sticking.  The third and fourth were both on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Orpik for slashing and then roughing.  The sixth and seventh were both on Columbus&#8217;s Dorsett for roughing.</p>
<p>In the second period, there were three goals scored and there were four penalties called.  The first goal was scored by Columbus&#8217;s Nash with his 8th of the season.  The second goal was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Kunitz with his 2nd of the season.  The third goal was scored by Columbus&#8217;s Dorsett with his 1st of the season.  This put the score at Columbus 3- Pittsburgh 1.  Out of the four penalties called, three were on Pittsburgh and one was on Columbus.  The first penalty called was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Bourque for hooking.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Guerin for hooking.  The third was on Columbus&#8217;s Pahlsson for hooking.  The fourth was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Rupp for interference on the goaltender.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were two goals scored and there were two penalties called.  Both goals were scored by Pittsburgh putting the score at a 3-3 tie (which sent the game into Overtime).  The first goal was scored by Fedotenko with his 3rd of the season.  The second goal was scored by Goligoski with his 5th of the season.  The penalties were even with one called on each team.  The first penalty was called on Columbus&#8217;s Stralman for hooking.  The second was called on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby for slashing.</p>
<p>In the regular overtime period, there were no goals scored which pushed the game into a shoot out.  There was one penalty called however.  The penalty was called on Columbus&#8217;s Voracek for hooking.</p>
<p>In the shoot out, Columbus went first with the order as follows: 1st was Columbus&#8217;s Vermette (who did not score), 2nd was Pittsburgh&#8217;s Letang (who did not score), 3rd was Columbus&#8217;s Nash (who did not score), 4th was Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby (who did score), and 5th was Columbus&#8217;s Huselius (who did not score).  This gave Pittsburgh the win with a 4-3 victory.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for Pittsburgh were 8 equaling 16 minutes and the total penalties for Columbus were 6 equaling 12 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Both Pittsburgh&#8217;s Johnson and Columbus&#8217;s Mason stopped 29 out of 32 shots.  Stars of the night were: 3) Pittsburgh&#8217;s Crosby, 2) Pittsburgh&#8217;s Kunitz, and 1) Columbus&#8217;s Nash.</p>
<p>The next game is tonight, 10/31, at 7:30 pm against the Minnesota Wild.</p>
<p>Note: The Penguins wore their third jersey (the blue jersey) last night.  It was the first indoor away game that they wore the jersey.  (The Penguins wore their blue jersey during an away game at the outdorr Winter Classic a couple of seasons ago.)</p>

<p>In the second period, there were three goal scored and there were three penalties called.  All three goals were scored by Pittsburgh.  The first goal was scored by Crosby with his 8th of the season.  The second was scored by Rupp with his 3rd of the season.  The third was scored by Crosby with his 9th of the season (giving Crosby the hat trick).  The Pens then had a 4-0 lead.  Out of the three penalties called, two were on Montreal and one was on Pittsburgh.  The first penalty was called on Montreal&#8217;s D&#8217;Agostini for hi sticking.  The second was on Montreal&#8217;s Plekanec for roughing.  The third was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Guerin for roughing.</p>
<p>In the third period, there were three goals scored and there were five penalties called.  The first goal was scored by Montreal&#8217;s Plekanec with his 3rd of the season.  The second was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Goligoski with his 4th of the season.  The third was scored by Pittsburgh&#8217;s Kunitz with his 1st of the season.  The final score was Pittsburgh 6- Montreal 1.  Out of the five penalties called, three were on Montreal and two were on Pittsburgh.  The first penalty called was on Montreal&#8217;s Spacek for hi sticking.  The second was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Eaton for hooking.  The third was on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury for delay of game after the puck went over the glass.  The fourth was on Montreal&#8217;s Gill for delay of game.  The fifth was on Montreal&#8217;s Gorges for holding.</p>
<p>STATS: The total penalties for Montreal were 6 equaling 12 minutes and the total penalties for Pittsburgh were 4 equaling 8 minutes.  Goalie Summary: Montreal&#8217;s Halak (who played in the 1st and 2nd periods) stopped 19 out of 23 shots and Montreal&#8217;s Price (who played in the 3rd period) stopped 12 out of 14 shots.  Pittsburgh&#8217;s Fleury stopped 23 out of 24 shots.  Stars of the game (which were all from Pittsburgh) were: 3) Guerin, 2) Kunitz, and 1) Crosby.</p>
<p>The next game is Friday, 10/30, at 7:00 pm against the Columbus Blue Jackets.</p>
<p>Notes:  *1) Tonight Sidney Crosby had his 3rd NHL career hat trick.            *2) Tyler Kennedy was not in tonight&#8217;s lineup due to an undisclosed injury.  His status is currently day-to-day.             *3) Sidney Crosby will be one of the 12,000 torchbearers that will be carrying the Olympic Flame across Canada on November 18.  Corsby will be carrying the torch through his home town of Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Crosby said of carrying the torch: &#8220;I am honored and thrilled to have the opportunity to carry the Olympic Flame in my home province of Nova Scotia.  The torck relay will pass through so many communitites and hands on the way to Vancouver and I&#8217;m privileged to be part of that special group as the Olympic Flame makes its way to Vancouver for the 2010 WInter Games.&#8221;                *4) NHL News:  On Saturday, October 24, the Philadelphia Flyers played the Florida Panthers.  During the game, Flyers Mike Richards hit Panther&#8217;s David Booth rendering Booth unconscious.  Booth then was taked off the ice in a strethcer and spent the night in a Philadelphia hospital.  Booth suffered from a concussion and will miss at least 3 games.  On Monday, Colin Campbell, the NHL Vice President of Hockey Operations announced that Richards was not going to be suspended for the hit because &#8220;Richards did not leave his feet, lead with his elbow or make contact with Booth in an out-of-the-way area.&#8221;             *5) Evgeni Malkin will be out of the lineup for 2-3 weeks with a shoulder strain.</p>
